LAD - Follow-up report on the A+A 2011
Lion Apparel took part at the A + A in Düsseldorf, the main European exhibition for personal protective articles, work safety and health from 18th to 21st October. More than 1,600 exhibitors from 54 nations presented their products and services. During the four days of the exhibition, more than 60,000 trade visitors were recorded.
“We established many first-class contacts,“ says Klaus Hawekamp, head of internal sales services and structural sales at Lion Apparel Deutschland GmbH, “which will hopefully be turned into specific orders.”
Lion Apparel presented its current range of products for fire fighters protective clothing. At the center of this was the new generation of the patented V-Force ® protective suits. These have also been supplied in red since 1st October. The product presentation was supplemented by the unique TotalCare® service offered by LION. This encompasses clothing management and the care of the clothing articles throughout the whole of the service life. The sustainability of the management of clothing by means of TotalCare® is a prize-winning concept in the meantime, as, for example, the District of Offenbach has been awarded the Innovation Prize of the Federal Ministry of Economy. Since the last A + A (two years ago) LION and the LHD Group have won a number of contracts for fire services and industrial customers. These include, among others, the fire services in Hong Kong, Hamburg and Regensburg in addition to major consortiums such as Daimler and BASF as well the ADAC, the largest German automobile club.
